What is happening at IRWP?

Thanks to all our sponsors, participants and supporters we raised over $15,000 at our Golf event and $13,000 at our Trivia event! Thank you to all those who took part in our events in 2018. We are already busy planning for 2019.

The first half of 2018 has been a busy year for the volunteers and staff. We complied all the awesome information in our annual newsletter. Check it out!

Newsletter 2018

Volunteers Needed

Thanks to your wonderful support, 365 students improved their English skills with the help of their volunteer teacher this year. Last year we taught 350 students during 13,208 hours of class - a 65% increase in services. Requests for a volunteer teacher are so great that even if a larger group of students, 201 people are currently waiting for a volunteer to help them learn.

If you can commit to one hour twice a week, you can help someone achieve many personal goals. With so many people in need of services, there is a good fit for everyone. Your schedule and location are used to find the right student for you. Call 314-771-1104 for more information.

Making House Calls

Does anyone make house calls anymore? As a volunteer teacher at the Immigrant & Refugee Women’s Program in St. Louis, Missouri, Sister Rosel Marie Feder does!  Why? “People are comfortable in their own surroundings,” says Sister Rosel. “When people are relaxed, they learn more readily.”
